My hat goes off to the creative folks that design logos. Capturing the essence of a brand and providing a long lasting, meaningful link between the product and the consumer is no easy feat. But being able to add hidden messages in logos is a true art!
It begs the question, are their hidden messages in logos? Yes, and it’s not new. We have all seen the great work done on logos like Amazon, Tostitos, and the Hartford Whalers, to name just a few.
Wendy’s Hidden Message in Logo
In March, Wendy’s Restaurants shed their “Old Fashioned” look and freshened their brand – becoming more modern and breezy. According to Business Insider, some people have noticed the subliminal message “Mom” in the logo. While maybe not as noticeable as those mentioned above, my kudos goes to the design team that were able to incorporate this message into the logo.
A Wendy’s spokesperson told Business Insider “We are unaware of this…and we can assure you it was unintentional.” Maybe if we play one of their commercials backwards the truth will be revealed.
